Boehner Resignation is ‘Victory for the Crazies’: Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y

September 25, 2015 — 10:19 AM EDT

“I’m very disappointed. It’s a victory for the crazies. I understand why he did it, but I don’t agree,” Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., says in interview.

King says Boehner chose to resign “to bring some peace to the party. But these are people you can’t appease”

Says Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, of Calif., is most likely to be next speaker

because mccarthy is supposed to be not as loony tunes as cantor was. the tea party was strong enough to engineer a coup but not strong enough to get one of their own as a replacement.

won't they essentially say the same thing if mccarthy becomes speaker?

He's just worshiping his Golden Calf from a lobbying position now. I'm sure he is rewarded according to his devotion.

Soulless worm.

Because, well, that's how the world works. But each time there's a leadership change the true believers hope against hope that this time will be different and the new person won't be a (D/R)INO.

Every. Single. Thing. Hell even from our perspective he caved several times. But he's probably more disappointing to conservatives than Reid ever was to us.

The article was from back in January and it talked about the possibility of a Tea Party coup against John Boehner.

These people are anarchists. They are democracy's nightmare.

"I am a libertarian. I believe in individual liberties and the destruction of the social compact in favor of the individual. For me the Republicans are doing exactly what I want. They are resisting all efforts the left makes to govern. In so doing they create an atmosphere in which government really cannot succeed for anyone and that is my goal. Government that works hard at nothing and spins its wheels. The more waste there is the better. The less that gets to the people the better. When we finally have a fully polarized government that spends billions doing nothing but fighting itself, then I will be free to do what I want."
