Saw quite a few top acts live back in the day but never got to see Jimi live before he was gone.

powerful presence at this July 4, 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival. I knew nothing about how huge this outdoor affair was or the new documentary, until tonight when I saw it on Dish TV, after all this time. What a wonderful surprise.

B. Nov. 27, 1942, Jimi passed away this month on Sept. 18, 1970. In memory I did an OP on Hendrix that's in the Video Section, including many of his great songs we posted.
