Beagle Thinks His Human is Drowning

I would need to have a huge bag of "cookies" to get my pup to even consider doing this. Nah...she wouldn't even try. She would stand by on the dock and hope that the bag floated by within her reach.

believe she is quite safe yet. He wants her OUT of that dangerous wet stuff and safe on dry land!

and watch a child drowning. This is cute but hardly, in fact not even close to heroic. I detest people who do this for click-bait.

It's a dog, not a human adult and it's an adult not a child in the water. I'm not sure what your point is.

But the dog might not.

Or the dog has just been trained to do this. Hard to know.

And I have no point. It was a cute video. But having endured a child drowning, I guess I didn't see the humor in it.

I apologize.

I don't think you need to apologize. We can all understand that this would cause you pain.

I really wasn't understanding your point. I didn't even think about the person taking the video.

I'm sorry for what you endured. I'm sure that was horrible.

Triggers are triggers, I guess. I need to learn to not react so quickly and spout off without taking a minute to regroup.

But thank you all for your kindness.

They would love this. We used to go to a nearby lake with them( before we all got old).
One time there were some children playing in the water and we asked if they wanted to help train one of our dogs for water rescue. They loved it.
We would send her out and she would circle them until they held on and back to shore.
Kids could touch the ground but she had to swim.
Our daughter used her to pull her boat to shore.
