Chopper LIVE stream hovering over nuclear sub fire in Maine

HERE

HERE is the location of an older feed, which may or may not be broadcasting the chopper's video. It may be tried as a backup if the link at the top does not work. If it is broadcasting, it'll be slightly higher quality as well.

More from Christian Science Monitor article HERE. There's a thread in LBN as well, though I think the article's link is dead for some reason.

...trying to get a foam truck to fill the sub with foam to get at the fire.

Video I'm watching of a chopper which is flying right over it has incredible close ups of firemen hosing down the hull and some pretty thick smoke which occasionally billows is bursts out of...some part or parts of the sub I can't see.

Per tweet from reporter Pat Callaghan at WCSH in Portland, Maine.

Fire does look very intense, a few minutes ago I saw what I thought was a policeman being taking away by ambulance for smoke inhalation. He had a dark uniform on, anyway. Still looked alive, thought I saw him raising his hands from the stretcher to show people he was ok. Black stuff like soot on his face, or dirt and sweat.

...catch a live stream but no dice on that either. Almost midnight there right now, but the smoke was pouring out all the hatches last time one of my listed feeds was carrying the chopper's video. I have no idea whether the chopper had to come back for more fuel or if they sent it back up again afterward. I can't find anything on the net...yet...which gives any more information except that the fire was still going on.

If I do come across something I'll update my OP and kick. This is the kind of think Nightline used to be great for. Is that show still on? I haven't watched TV in a while.

..the shipyard. You can view it HERE but you might have to sit through about a minute of video with no voiceover. The news report will start after that. Press release during that says that the reactor was off is at the other end of the sub "and therefor is not affected" and that "there were no weapons on the ship".

So, those are two good things, if accurate!

The person who delivered the press release at the shipyard indicated that there would be at least another press release later (about half an hour ago) and they may give them intermittently during the night.

10. The reactor is amidships. Just aft of the sail.

(Or conning tower in older sub terms)

I think it's safe to assume the whole boat is at risk right now.
