By Todd Cooper / World-Herald staff writer
The attorney for a Trendwood chicken owner who had been ordered to remove her cluckers emerged from a courtroom Thursday and declared, matter-of-factly:
The chickens are saved.
At the same time, he and the chickens owner, Stacy Williams, couldnt help but wonder what had been lost. Time. Perspective. Money. Neighborly dignity.
Those went by the wayside. Six hens will stay put, however, after Williams made a settlement offer Thursday that was identical to the offer she made when she first was sued, three months ago.

Then why didn't they put up the fence when first offered to do so.

Did they really have that much to squawk about? All beakause of a few chickens? They seem like fowl brood.
