What kind of logic would cause one to feel honored to be part of the last days of Earth?

significance to the planet itself and you'd be honored to be alive at the cataclysm. So, if the world ended while you were alive, it would somehow be more important. I get it. Wait...no, I don't. What honor are you talking about?

Every day, the world ends for many people. For them, the world might as well have ended as well. The effect is identical. We live. We die. And so it goes.

I as an individual matter not to the planet nor its environment.

This is why I drive a Hummer and let the sprinklers run all night here in Ca.

Collectively, we have a very large effect. To feel honored that the world came to an end while you were alive, though, seems a bit on the odd side to me.

In a planetary or universal sense, the passing of one person is something of zero impact. There's no reason to feel honored that the whole thing ended while you lived. At least that's how I see it.

Doesn't it feel weird to follow me around? It's kind of creepy how you pop in and respond to just about everything I post.

You know you are the only one here at DU who follows me around. Now I know---you'll reply with some lame excuse for doing it...but a quick search sure does prove it.

Every fucking thread you're there dropping turds on my comments. Really fucking weird dude.

I do, and I share it.

Civilization will be coming apart big-time before I shuffle off this mortal coil. It's going to be an amazing thing to see. Hell, it's already coming apart, and it's already amazing. I think this is the most remarkable time in the history of human presence on the planet to be alive. It feels like watching the final act of a really thrilling play, and being here to see the curtain come down. I mean, how cool is that?

His obsession is really weird. Been here since 2001 and really never had a member follow me as much as this guy.

It was fun for a while but now it's bordering on creepy.

Nobody will be "around" before the "world" actually ends anyway, the oceans will be boiled away as the sun heats up and begins to die.

I appreciate a twisted sense of humor.
