Who would you want for speaker

Let's pretend the GOP completely implodes and the only speaker choice had to be bipartisan. Someone that can attract votes from both sides. That mean no ultra liberals the will never get any GOP support. Not Nancy pelosi she has to much history. Chances are it has to be either a conservative dem or a non crazy GOP ( if there are any)

It will be a republican and it will be a tea party which McCarthy was not even if we thought that. It will be hell for the next 18 months at least.

I'll whip those surly lot into shape, correct some of the most stupid of their problems, toss out the troublemakers, completely eviscerate the ruling and political class...

...then promptly realize I'll have to run against someone and abdicate the throne.

Not as crazy as most, already in repuke leadership, plus she's been a strong advocate for disability issues (despite being conservative, she is permitted to give a crap because her son has Down's ).

Someone who will drive people to the polls to vote for sane people. Bernie or Hillary will have long coattails if that happens.
