Missouri House spends $1,100 on camera to watch over Limbaugh bust

There is NO security at the capitol in Jeff City. There are several doors, on every side of that building, and no metal detectors or uniformed officers anywhere. This past January, there were crosshair stickers attached to the office doors of several Democratic senators. http://missouri-news.org/featured/senators-debate-new-capitol-security-measures-following-crosshair-threat/15197

And still, no security for the elected officials. But they spend $1100 to provide security for a statue. This is absolutely insane.

JEFFERSON CITY | The Missouri House has spent more than $1,100 on a security camera to keep watch over a new bronze bust of conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh.

House Clerk Adam Crumbliss said Thursday that he authorized the camera because of concerns that the Limbaugh bust might be vandalized.

Limbaugh was inducted into the Hall of Famous Missourians last week during a closed-door ceremony intended to keep away protesters. His bust went on public display at the state Capitol after lawmakers ended their annual session last Friday.

The Hall of Famous Missourians features dozens of busts of people such as President Harry Truman, Walt Disney and former Cardinals baseball star Stan Musial. But Limbaugh's bust is the only one with a camera specifically pointed at it.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Capitol Police have launched an investigation after several Democratic state senators’ offices were defaced with stickers depicting rifle crosshairs.

The bright orange stickers were found on the doors and exterior walls of offices belonging to several lawmakers, including Sen. Jolie Justus, D-Kansas City, who first brought the issue to her colleagues in the Senate chamber.

“We don’t have any explanation,” Justus told her colleagues on the Senate floor Tuesday afternoon. “All we know is that many of us, when we came back to our offices this afternoon, found gun target stickers – stickers you’d find on a gun target at a shooting range – found them on our nameplates outside our doors.”

Justus added that when some senators removed the stickers they were replaced later in the afternoon by even larger crosshairs.

then proceed to vandalize the bust of the Bloated One.

Hopefully a few key carvings will be done to show that Rush is in fact a pedophile.

Just charge the vandals admission and they could have a picture for their scrapbook. They could even sell the paint and supplies and make a fortune.
