Texas Cop Chokes 14-Year Old Student ‘For His Safety’

After apparently telling a cop to leave him alone, a black 14-year-old Round Rock High School student was grabbed by the throat and dragged to the ground by a police officer on Thursday, a video published by KXAN reveals. The police department claims the move was for the boy’s own safety.
...

No arrests were made, but the incident is under review and the student’s father said he plans to press charges against the officer for “totally unnecessary” handling of a “130-pound child.” “I believe that the officer in question should definitely go through some re-training or be reassessed in terms of how you handle conflicts like this,” he told the station. The student said he was suspended and given two Saturday detentions.

And the adults do nothing but try and block it from being recorded.

I truly can't stand this shit any longer.

Steroid testing for cops.

I absolutely think a lot of them are using.

A teacher doing the same thing -- even one in a cursed union -- would have been fired and maybe arrested. Grabbing a child by the throat and slamming them into the ground is hardly the proper response to "won't calm down."

I figure this goes on every day in schools across the country. They might want to think about not choking kids so much. It sets a bad example.

In partner violence, choking or strangling is the most reliable indicator that the violent partner is likely to kill their victim. I cannot imagine that it is so different on the job - this incident should raise huge red flags with this officer's supervisor. But it won't, because as we know, cops can do whatever they want to black children with impunity.

And next year after he kills an unarmed black kid they'll claim that they didn't know he was unstable.

An attorney could make mountains of money with lawsuits against cops like these idiots. That kid should - at the very least - be seeing a check that pays for college.
