Flynt's been doing this for decades and I don't know if he's ever apologized yet. There's no question that his mag is misogynist at best and any decent person should denounce it. However, as far as apologies go Cupp is the one who should be apologizing. Her comments are far more inflammatory and damaging than anything Flynt has ever done. Despite Cupp, Malkin, Beck, and others depicting Flynt as a voice of the left, he isn't. Flynt speaks for Flynt and that's it.

Flynt is rude, crude, he pushes, he infuriates, he's odious. In short: Larry Flyint is the poster boy for Free Speech.

If it wasn't for Larry Flynt's odious speech, our own speech would be less protected. Does that mean I support what Larry Flynt does? No- definitely not in this case, anyway. He tweaks noses as hard as he legally can, and that gives breathing room for the rest of us.

The reason why Free Speech exists is not to protect popular speech, but to protect odious speech. This can sometimes be a difficult point to get across on DU, I've found.

Anyway, Flynt has been doing the same thing for years. I doubt he'll apologize.

They have made a fortune on their offensive portrayal of women. That being said, how does that compare with what the conservative anti choice want for women. Would you rather have someone engage in offensive sexist behavior or would you prefer that the laws of the land are changed to deny you freedom to control your own body.

I know the right thing to do, as a woman, is talk out against this sexist behavior but the person you are supporting wants to inflict much more harm than Hustler. I would not have done what Sandra Fluke did, but I think she did a good thing.
