Name change on hold for Confederate Drive in Forest Park (MO)

(KMOV.com) – A bill to rename a street known as Confederate Drive in Forest Park is on hold at the Board of Alderman. A push began to rename the street after a mass shooting at an African American Church in South Carolina in June because many believe the name is offensive. Alderwoman Lyda Krewson said she will hold off on a bill to rename the street “Cricket East Drive,” because some of her colleagues want the new name to honor civil rights ...
