Getting to be that time again - turning the clocks back

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/when-do-we-turn-the-clocks-back-2015-10-10?reflink=MW_GoogleNews&google_editors_picks=true

Having trouble getting out of bed in the morning because it’s so dark? Be patient, soon you’ll see the sun earlier, because it’s nearly time to “fall back,” and move our clocks back an hour to Standard Time.

In the U.S., the clocks will be turned back one hour on Nov. 1, at 2:00 a.m. local time, so trick-or-treaters will get a little more light on Halloween before the switch. (Mark your calendar, we “spring ahead” an hour on the second Sunday in March.)

If you live in Europe, you will have already moved your clock back to Standard Time on Sunday, Oct. 25, in the wee hours of the morning (it varies by country), in Asia, most countries do not observe the practice. Here is a worldwide breakdown.

I looove getting that hour back.

I am really not looking forward to January/February/March...terribly cold and dark and grey, there isn't cheery Christmas music and decorations everywhere anymore...

HATED IT. Now I hate it when it gets dark at 5 PM after the change. HATE IT. Otherwise, it doesn't make any difference, I go to bed when the clock says 1 instead of 2 and read until the clock says 3 instead of 4 and get up when the clock says 11 instead of 12.

I just hate the dark that standard time seems to magnify. I'd far rather keep daylight savings time year round. It's not nearly as depressing.

And yes, I have a light box. That doesn't help much.

I've been adjusting the time I feed my dogs slowly over the last month, so that when the clocks change, we'll be back to our 'regular' feeding times.

There's already too little day left when I get off work. Driving home in the dark sets me into a depression.

I love Fall and Winter. I feel much happier these seasons. Maybe the temps will get down into the 60s or 70s.

I think people get vastly more worked up over the clock adjustment twice a year. I would prefer we went on at the beginning of April and came off it at the end of September, but nobody consults me on this.

Or leave it on Daylight Saving Time. Whichever.

Pick one and stick with it.

I hate the change twice a year.

It gets dark here so early in the winter. We're losing almost six minutes a day now - it sucks to suddenly lose another hour in the afternoon.
