Dems rush money to Wisconsin for Walker Recall

(this is great! but just want to remind you, too, that this is just a pittance compared to what Walker has raised and spent):

MILWAUKEE (Reuters) - Democratic governors pledged $1 million on Thursday to pay for Wisconsin television advertisements in a final push to recall Republican Governor Scott Walker, who has a small but consistent lead in polls before the June 5 vote.

Walker faces a special election after he angered Democrats and labor unions by pushing through the state legislature a law that strips public sector labor unions of much of their power.

The Democratic Governors' Association said its latest pledge brings its contribution to more than $3 million since the beginning of the recall effort.

"DGA's aggressive investment in Wisconsin underscores our commitment to highlighting Scott Walker's worst-in-the-nation record on job creation and questions he refuses to answer over his role in the John Doe campaign corruption investigation," said association spokeswoman Kate Hansen.

But this week the Democratic National Committee said it had directed $1.4 million to Wisconsin and Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Wednesday made a fundraising appeal for Wisconsin.

For What? Candidate Barrett doesn't need to have this recall become all about Obama. There are plenty of high profile Dems that could make a trip to WI. Is there something the president could do there that Russ Feingold couldn't?

tell us that this president can't do anything right EVER, want us to somehow believe that they think this same "inept" president can make all the difference in WI's recall. It's upside down world.

And let me remind you, there's no way the DNC can EVER compete with the private interests funding Walker. That's why all are asked to help. Maybe the many can overcome the few.

There are big private interests pouring money into Walker's coffers. The DNC cannot compete with those in spite of private interests making up a huge part of their funding.

Let me break it down this way you've got the DNC the Gov. Assoc. and various groups (who are probably mostly funded by private donations~~not relevant but perhaps in your mind it is)...ok, they are helping....one check from the Koch brothers (on of the private interests I was referring to) can negate all of that.

Is that a bit clearer?

gives anything close to what the biggest guns on their side do. Not even close.

I'm sure hoping you're not shooting for the lame they're-both-the-same!1! in a round-about sort of way. If so it's not clever but tedious.

The R donors give much more money to their pols. Sure Buffet and Gates are supposedly on the Dem side, so is Soros (a scary name I can't believe you left out, the R's hate that guy!). So what? I never hear of those guys dropping the kind of $ the Kochs and other wingers do. If I have missed the stories on this please correct me.

what about that story that Wisconsin wasn't getting any support from the DNC???
I guess it must have been part of the concerted effort to supress enthusiasm in Wisconsin about dumping this shitheel.

Focus please.

Those reports were Last Week.
The DNC has finally decided (this week) to send some support to the Wisconsin Democrats & the Barrett Campaign.
The public outcry over the DNC NOT helping Barrett & the Wisconsin Working Class Democrats in their WAR to unseat Walker no doubt provided some motivation for this very late in the game support.

Score ONE for those willing to Call Out the DNC for their neglect.

You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their excuses.

He'd be a great surrogate and his visit would not be "all about Obama' as the GOP would paint an Obama visit.
