I'm a lifelong supporter of the NDP, but I can be satisfied with the Liberals. At least they can read and write.

The Liberal Party is regarded as centrist and to the Right of the NDP. Liberal Party agenda, as an American outsider, reads like a Christmas List to me. Just a sad commentary of how far Right American Politics has become.

Here's to hoping this is part of a global tsunami.

a decade or so ago. They're definitely on the right now.

At first they called themselves the Canadian Reform Alliance Party, but it was soon noted the acronym was CRAP (I kid you not), and they altered the name.

paper ballots. Mark an X with a pencil. Put it in the box. Gets counted later with a representative of each party watching.

I've heard some blather about touch screen voting coming from the conservatives...but it's unlikely to happen. No one I know is in favor of it. We don't have complicated ballots like in the US. We have 1 decision to make on 1 ballot. (generally anyway...there have been some elections with a referendum question, then there are 2 ballots for 2 questions) so it's easy to count...touch screen doesn't make much sense with our system.

section that is used to confirm that the vote was cast in the presence of witnesses/

ON FUCKING PAPER and we still get results within hours of voting

Electronic voting is unnecessary and a straight line to voter fraud
