Oh this is rich: Mitt Romney says he’s ‘haunted’ by past verbal gaffes, and is a "victim".

Got the obligatory coffee spray on my monitor when I read this article:

Mitt Romney admits he's "haunted" by the verbal gaffes he's made during his second run for president but says he's the victim of a media environment that encourages "spontaneous" actions, yet pounces on mistakes.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal's Peggy Noonan, Romney acknowledges that he's forced himself to "be a little more careful in what I say" after mistakes that "make me want to kick myself in the pants."

Among his gaffes, Romney cites his comment at a New Hampshire luncheon in January when he said, "I'd like to be able to fire people." He said he meant health care companies that provide inadequate services, but the remark has been used against him in Democratic attacks ever since without that kind of context.

Yeah well, if you actually had coherent thoughts, perhaps you could string a few sentences together that wouldn't reveal who you really are.

Nobody wants to hear a whiner (well, I suppose a lot of Faux News viewers do, that seems to be all they do on that network). Take your lumps Mitt, god knows you deseve them.

Yup - Mitt's message is that he is too feeble-brained to answer questions from reporters, so we need to give him a pass on what he says. Yet we should vote for him to lead the most powerful nation on the planet? Yeah, that's some compelling stuff, Mr. Rob-me.

You sir are proof that there is no such thing as unutterable nonsense. Further, uttering nonsense does tend to attract attention and comment.

And he wants to play hardball with major leaguers like Putin?

when we see you try to speak.

Face it ~ you are a wooden puppet and you are trying to pull your own strings!

They can't be pulled because you may be "educated" but a stupid man.

You need long term care to handle your mental/social disabilities.

You should do what you suggested - start kicking yourself in the pants.

By the way ~ the stress must be getting to you because you are not showing any improvement.

Rmoney and his friends would be showing those ALL the time calling it fair game. They already showed us what they do with Obama's words during the 2008 election. "If we talk about the economy, we're going to lose" And try and make those words Obama's instead of Magoos.

Oh and he doesn't seem haunted by the way he treated that boy at school. Typical.

Give the guy a break, cancha?

Of course, the gaffe machine that is Mitt Romney wouldn't be quite such a bonanza if he had any principles besides his lifelong commitment to "Me first and fuck you." It's just soooo hard to remember that other people have feelings and stuff. Why didn't someone inform Mitt of this? Now he's got to get a memory upgrade chip and load an empathy program and hope it doesn't loop back on itself in conflict with this default setting of "selfish."

And now that he isn't so much, he exhibits classic repug thinking that he isn't being treated fairly.
