Is there evidence Zimmerman's actions reduced crime in his neighbourhood?

Up here in Canada, a female football player tackled a would-be purse-snatcher.

Whom he and some of his neighbours felt caused crimes in his neighbourhood. However is there evidence of this. Considering the amount of cases and the fact he says "they always get away" to the dispatcher---I would presume that the answer to your question is a "NO!"

There is plenty of proof that he increased crime by at least one murder though.
