Dr. Ben Carson's prescription: Abolish Medicare

Dr. Ben Carson's prescription: Abolish Medicare
The GOP frontrunner in the latest Iowa poll would replace Medicare and Medicaid with savings accounts.
By KYLE CHENEY and JASON MILLMAN 10/22/15 07:40 PM EDT

Republicans have fended off accusations for years that they'd gut Medicare for seniors and end the program "as we know it."

Not Ben Carson. The former neurosurgeon acknowledges he would abolish the program altogether.

Carson, who now leads the GOP field in Iowa according to the latest Quinnipiac Poll, would eliminate the program that provides health care to 49 million senior citizens, as well as Medicaid....

Well there you have it folks. The republicans promise to push grandma and grandpa right off a cliff, F them because they are not rich and only the rich deserve healthcare in Amerika!

That frees up more trillions for the MIC and endless global war/empire building! If you plan on sitting this election out at home in 2016 for some reason, you and your family are going to pay a heavy price for it!

This should kill his candidacy. How in the hell is grandma going to afford savings accounts when she pays zero taxes on her $1200 Social Security?

Right now, he is the GOPer flavor du jour. The flavor will likely change between now and the actual nomination. The DNC needs to save its $$$ for the Big Battle in the GE.

No reason for this surge, other than the media will manipulate the information and marginalize the Trumps and Carsons and make it look like Bush is the rational one of the bunch.

I heard Carson muttering (that's what he does) about his savings account scheme. What I think I heard (the mumbling again) was that everyone would start out the year with $2,000 in some government account. Whoop-di-doo! $2,000! That ought to pay for half a day's stay in the hospital.
