Me---I seem to go in waves. Sometime not very much--- Sometimes---probably in totality--- 1 hour a day.

(182,950 posts)Actually I hired an intern to update whenever I awake in the night. It usually goes something like this:
"Okay, 1/2 support Hillary and 1/2 support Bernie. Something happened and there were 27 separate threads about it. You had 4 jury alerts."
How are you old timer?
How are you?

(7,768 posts)The answer would be hours!
When I'm home and not at work or not outside, my computer is ALWAYS on.
I shit-canned my TV and sat. dish years ago, so all my news and current events info comes from either the internet or Sirius XM radio.
I always have two DU tabs open: "Latest Threads" and "Greatest Threads".
I have at least 4 to 5 other tabs going at all times too. Weather, local news, a couple of Facebook pages, some science sites and various other stuff I'm interested in.
If the power goes out or my computer goes down, I am in a real, real bad way!

(23,664 posts)How else am I going to find out what's happening?
DU is my source for news so I'm here for maybe an hour or so every day.
More if something interesting is going on.

(46,436 posts)but a lot of those are in the photo group, or "kick" during the contests. Since Sarah Palin dropped out of the picture, I hardly ever start threads. Unfortunately, I was kind of the resident SP expert in 2008.

I click through and look at "My Subscriptions" and clear them, then I click on "General Discussion" and click on the posts that interest me, then I read from there.

(37,748 posts)About an hour a day on the weekday, collectively-- throughout the course of the day rather than all in one bunch. Never on the weekends. Explains my (relatively) low-post count for having been here since 2001.
