(99,714 posts)I was watching a basketball game, the debate, and posting here...
I want to face anybody but Little Ricky, not that we can't beat him, but I want the path of least resistance.

(6,409 posts)We tend to think somebody like Trump would be easy to beat because he's obviously crazy, has an ego bigger than most states, and talks reckless crap. But we're not Republicans and we don't feel the guy the way they do. They like him for the same reasons we dislike him. So it's possible Trump, or any of the others, could be our next president. That's a happy thought, isn't it?

(82,849 posts)Sgt. Foley has abused Mayo for an entire weekend, and when Mayo's at his lowest point, Foley demands that Mayo drop out of the program. Mayo refuses again and again. Foley finally says he'll drum Mayo out himself. In tears, Mayo screams at Foley not to do it, and dissolves into repeating "I got nowhere else to go."
Jeb!'s got nowhere else to go, nothing else to do. It's not like he has a regular job to go to, or any regular person obligations. He'll stay in, hoping against the day when the other candidates' campaigns collapse. Then he steps up and takes over the campaign slogans of McCain and Romney: "I'm all you got, bitches!"

(13,431 posts)I suspect the donors have already started telling him to give it up following tonight's disaster. Those calls will become deafening on Thursday. Does he take a few days to think it over? Or does he announce it during the weekend? Or does he wait until Monday? Keep your eyes and ears open for cancelled campaign appearances as the first one of those will be the official indicator that it is over.

(8,445 posts)Its funny that Jeb went after Rubio for just the kind of slacking-off that GW is famous for.
Rubio is free to be the GW Bush the Repub establishment prefers, yet doesn't have the negative baggage that comes with the family name.
