I believe that Christie has been "toast" for some time now poll-wise and, more importantly, for the Republicans to retain their sanity, they would have had to have it in the first place (which they clearly don't anymore if they ever did). I have no idea who they will ultimately nominate but I doubt that it will be Christie and even if, by some miracle, it ends up being him, I don't view him as a seriously credible threat to HRC (or to Sanders for that matter), especially given the bridge scandal he's been embroiled in for awhile now back in NJ. What is her rationale for saying that he could be a serious contender?

but I believe she was saying he has the ability to connect with people (voters) on a personal level. She was playing a clip of him discussing addiction.

with right-wingers is when something affects someone really close to them, as it did in Christie's case.

I always wonder why some people who take opioids for legitimate pain reasons DON'T end up addicted and others DO. When I had surgery my doc gradually reduced my level of pain medication as I healed. I suffered no pangs for loss of the drug. It was easy and I was not in pain ever. And I didn't want them once I didn't need them...

...and FL voters, TX voters, and many of the swing state Republican voters do not like him.

I'm not sure what Rachel is talking about.

Rubio, Kasich and even Jeb Bush are still there to worry about.

Despite all the hoopla, I do not believe that Jeb is out of contention yet.

...like he KNEW the fix was already in. And we all know what happened there.

I don't trust ANY Bush. What's happening, I believe, is that he's allowing the Clown Car to crash and burn, one by one...

First, Trump. Then, Carson. Fiorina. Perhaps Christie following...

Bush won't drop out, even if he loses a sizeable number of early primaries. He'll wait for the clowns to exit the race when it becomes clear that they won't win. In the end, perhaps he, Christie, Kasich, Rubio will be left.

I could easily see a Bush/Kasich ticket (Florida and Ohio)

Even a Bush/Fiorina ticket (Florida and California with white conservative and middle-class women being attracted to Fiorina)

I could even see a Bush/Rubio ticket (Florida, with some traction among Hispanics in New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado).

it's all in the context. He was HUMAN, not typical of him or the repugs, but an almost compelling 'performance' by him.

At this point one can't regain sanity and remain republican

and no sane person would vote for that corrupt asshole Christie

the only true sign of them regaining their sanity is if they leave the party
