About that MARIJUANA vote in Ohio!

On MSNBC, the reporter on the ground has, ALL DAY, been trying to report that voters are definitely in favor of marijuana, but are definitely NOT in favor of this initiative, which gave a monopoly to about 5 growers.

Three times I have seen the anchor at the desk say "I'm sorry, I think we lost audio" or "someone was talking in my ear at the end and we'll have to leave it there" or other such dodge so the field guy couldn't get out that last sentence.

It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic

stemmy and seedy, back in the day. I wouldn't mind leaving it to the professionals now. Just not a monopoly...

the initiative was poorly written. I argued with friends (who were pro-legalization but were going to vote against the initiative because it had so much bad stuff in it) that if it lost it would definitely be interpreted as "America isn't ready for legalized pot". I tried to convince them that it would be easier to fix the imperfect bits later than to start from scratch, especially after furthering the conservative narrative.
