Poll: 71 percent of UK Conservatives support UK exit from the EU

71 percent of members of the Conservative Party "are more likely to vote" for Britain to leave the EU, according to a Conservative Home poll. This is up from 58 percent in a similar poll in June.

Over at UK Polling Report, Anthony Wells notes that a recent YouGov poll found Remain and Leave at 50 per cent/50 per cent, though the regular ICM tracker is in its own words “fairly stable”, with Remain at 54 per cent and Leave at 46 per cent.

If the overall polling is about 50/50 on staying or leaving the EU, and conservatives are 70%+ in favor of leaving, independents and liberals must favor staying in the EU.
