Omaha police say a juvenile has been cited in connection with last Sundays trespassing incident at the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium in which a 33-year-old woman was bitten by a tiger.
Police said the juvenile was cited on suspicion of trespassing and released to a parent or guardian.
Detectives and zoo security personnel are attempting to determine how the woman, Jacqueline Eide, and the juvenile entered the secure property, police said. The trespassing does not appear to have been captured on surveillance cameras.
Staff members inspected the gates and fences at the zoo but found no breaks in the fence or damage that would indicate a forced entry. Barbed wire tops the fencing around most of the zoo.
