Minnesota woman smashes Muslim in face with beer mug for speaking Swahili at Applebee’s

Minnesota woman is accused of attacking a Muslim woman who was speaking Swahili at an Applebee’s restaurant.

...

“I was sitting turned around like this and all of a sudden I feel something thrown on my face — boom,” said the victim, Asma Jama. “My cousin started screaming and everyone wanted to run away.”

Jama told her assailant that she had a free speech right to converse with her family in Swahili.

COON RAPIDS, Minn. ... Jodie Marie Burchard-Risch, 43, was charged with third-degree assault for an incident .. on Oct. 30 ... According to the criminal complaint, Burchard-Risch .. became upset after hearing the victim speaking in a foreign language ... Authorities say .. managers .. tried to get Burchard-Risch to leave. Charges say she refused, continued to yell at the victim and threw her drink at the woman. Then she "smashed" her beer mug across the woman's face .. and fled ..

Maybe a nice, long incarceration will get her to seek help staying clean and sober.

If she wants to continue on the same way, then being caged is her future. She might kill the next person.

she most likely would have stopped with a loud complaint to her companion or even the manager.

There's a reason cops and medical people call it "asshole in a bottle."

someone who watched FOX every day I bet. a lot of anger. Too bad if she was around intelligent dialogue, she might have been educated and not so damn stupid and angry.

Maybe the buffet is too diverse...they are serving General Joes chicken right next to spaghetti and meatballs...who even does that!? Hamburgers next to hotdogs...what were they thinking!? No sideboards!?

I've never been in one.

But buffet is one of my favorite things to eat.

Of course, I have been recently informed by media reports that they serve beer too - also a fact of which I have heretofore been ignorant.
