Trump may be beginning to suffer from overexposure.

I'm often impressed with how many "celebrities," be they politicians or reality TV stars or actual performers, don't understand that they are, in part, a novelty and a commodity. If you can offer substance you can move out of being ONLY that, and create in the public a deeper commitment. Without it, you need to keep things novel.

Trump jumped that shark last night. He was just same old same old. There's no difference between parody Trump and real Trump. Without there being a there there, he's in HUGE danger of being nowhere.

Many are blaming the writers but trump put conditions on the writers so they weren't as free with their writing as normally they would be. SNL is thrilled this morning I am sure. Highest ratings in a decade. Can't be sad about that. Problem is they probably didn't gain any new viewers.

I knew the ratings would be high, but there was no way I was going to contribute in any way. I had the tv on, tuned to a different channel, and have avoided watching any news stories about the show. What a waste of 92 minutes that must have been.

On SNL, he covered and mocked a wide range of criticisms, including approving Larry David collecting $5,000 for calling Trump a racist on nationally broadcast television show!

Trump is the best possible nominee, easily beatable by any serious Democratic candidate - and if by chance he won, I predict he will go down in flames, be impeached and convicted, and VP Ivanka would takeover (and she might just be a Democrat, unlike her father )!

If Republicans really want an "outsider," Trump is the one!

Don't make assumptions. If you think he can't win you just don't know the level of stupidity among republican voters. And consider the many people who are completely apathetic to politics but impressed with celebrity who could potentially vote for him.

In 2000 democrats were so confidant that GW Bush couldn't win that many voted for Nader, to make a statement. We need to learn from the past so as not to repeat it.

Regardless of who gets the GOP nomination...they could potentially win. I hope that person is at least someone I can live with for four years instead of feeling like we are the laughingstocks of the world.

Being mature means you want your best candidate to run AND their best candidate. This is our life, we don't play games with it.

He's not a religious nutcase. If a republican did have to win, I would prefer it be him because he would tell the fundies where to go. I think this creeping religious fundamentalism is a huge threat in this country and it needs to be stamped out now.

Trump doesn't scare me nearly as much as someone like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush.

If anything, a Trump Presidency would probably be light on social issues and strong on trade negotiation and employment. I don't see Donald Trump using the office of the presidency as a bully pulpit to rail against abortion or gay marriage. Some of his positions like capital gains and carried interest tax hikes could be taken straight from the Democrats' play book. Other positions such as a wall on the Mexican border simply will never happen. This is just red meat all candidates sling to voters.

We would survive a Trump presidency. Someone like Ted Cruz on the other hand scares the shit out of me. I truly hope his days in politics are numbered. He needs to go open up a private law practice somewhere far, far away from Washington D.C.

need to be kept as far away from the office of the presidency as possible. It would be a disaster. That is why I am almost rooting for Trump. Of course, I want Bernie and any democrat over a republican, but if for some reason our nation went with a republican, I would prefer that it be him over all the other nutcases.

easiest to beat - Carson or Trump. It would take two different strategies. For Trump - probably trying to get him angry. For Carson - might be to be more respectful and try to get him to say something totally wingnut. If by some slim chance it's Rubio - he'd be harder because he is such a great bullshitter and rambles on ad nauseum.

The "liberal media" is after him. The pundits are circling the wagons already. See "credit card" defense.

I agree. Rubio would be a "best" candidate. Which makes him my worst!

I think Carson was their thumb-in-your-eye "we're not racist" flirtation. Remember Godfather pizza mogul?

Trust me. The South (The Base) is not ready for a black president!
