I thought it wasn't possible to rec one's own thread.

In any case, my point was more to suggest that for some reason discussion of the Beirut bombing is not of particular interest on DU.

Perhaps that might be reflective of (or connected to) why it seemed to not get a lot of MSM coverage.

and, well, there's just not a lot of human empathy in our media for such folks.

Our government did issue a strong statement of condemnation.
