was to use Americans' anger (and yes, ignorance) to attack a secular muslim country in lieu of fundie muslims, thus making the latter stronger and stronger.

We see a continuation of that policy today, destabilizing secular muslim countries that accept christians and minorities, which leads to the fundies gaining in strength and reach.

Now Europe is seeing the fruits of those policies and is itself being destabilized by the results of the actions of its leaders, who on the one hand supported jihadi rebels in Syria and on the other allowed unchecked masses of migrants into the heart of Europe.

In the future these leaders may be considered similar to Bush and Blair but for some reason the media and politicians only admit their mistakes when the time has passed to do anything about them.
