U.S. Congress or house of horrors, hall of monsters?

The United States House of Representatives has voted to abandon the most vulnerable humans on the face of the earth, war refugees. Refugees fleeing not only their own Syrian government but ISIS terrorists and American bombs and drones. Refugees that they, that very same house had a hand in creating. Few votes are attended by such shame as this vote. Children, women, young and old, and men flee terrorists and find themselves facing the terror of an uncaring, hostile America that in all its self aggrandizement claims to be the world’s safe harbor. This horror is perpetrated by monsters at opposite ends of a false religious dichotomy; Christians and Muslims.
Democrats actually voted for this measure, and one of my states supposed democrats, Ron Kind, did as well. I expect this sort of inhuman behavior from the Republicans. After all Paul Ryan, the speaker of the house, has previously been rebuked by the Catholic Church for his cruelty towards children. For any democrat to be associated in this vote, this stain on American honor, with someone of the nature of Paul Ryan is hideous.
Having made this vote our representatives have joined the great politicians of the past who threw the Japanese into concentration camps and the Jews into furnaces. These refugees are no less human due to their skin color or their religion than any other segment of the world. Fleeing the nightmare of ISIS, ISIL, or IS, however you wish to acronymize these horrors of humanity, joining in and helping them, proving them right in their ideological hate of western world values is not going to work out well for us.
The FBI, NSA, Homeland Security and large city police departments will all tell you that Syrian refugees are not the United States big security problem, it's white right wing supremacists. That's why the security agencies are all so anxious to get access to a back door on your smart phone. They are most concerned about homegrown not foreign terrorists. You want to save America from terror? Ignore the hate spewing talking heads who seem to want blood in the streets.
Our representatives have taken the position so kindly applied to these refugees by presidential candidate Ben Carson as being “rabid dogs “ and would make that the law. We no longer have a moral, ethical or humane House of Representatives, we have a house of horrors, a hall of monsters.
