As soon as I saw the tape of the first plane to hit the WTC, I started counting the seconds until somebody would mention Pearl Harbor. Didn't take long.

Waiting for a flight to Atlanta. They made an announcement that all flights were delayed for an indefinite period.

As i'm in a tiny airport, i got back to the lady at the magazine stand who was watching the news. 30 seconds later, the second plane hit. I picked up my bag and went to my car, realizing nobody was going anywhere that day.

By the time i got to my car i remember thinking "Somebody's ass is kicked." Not that i thought that was a good thing, but i just knew that this meant real, hot, war.

it is still possible for there to be a terrorist attack here. They can plan one regardless of the military. It's bullshit. And they are not protecting our freedom in any way - this is not really under threat. Terror attacks are all they can do - they can't actually take over.

Those lives were sacrificed to serve the interests of the military industrial complex, multinational corporations, and to focus our anger and fear on foreign "enemies" instead of the domestic criminals who use our government as a racket for their own enrichment.

Starve it, don't feed it. Use targeted low-key police actions to deal with imminent threats.

Terrorism is not a war, it's a tactic, one whose purpose is to provoke a war. Don't feed it.
