they should help a lot of webpages load faster.

Now, if I could find out how to get rid of the clickbait stuff without blocking things i might want to see...

Seriously, I blame FB for the slow down of the Internets.

They are connected to almost everything, and since so many sites has to load something attached to FB, it just screws stuff up.

I still remember the great FB fiasco a few years back where FB was down and it locked down a lot of sites that have FB in their coding, particularly for those who are logged on.

Thankfully, I don't have a FB, but it still slows many sites I visit.

FB irritates me far more than a random gif does.

This has not been an issue on DU but sure is when going to media sites.
