Motörhead frontman Lemmy brands terrorists behind Paris attacks 'assholes and cowards'

http://www.nme.com/news/motorhead/89909

Motörhead frontman Lemmy has spoken out about the recent attacks in Paris dubbing the perpetrators "assholes and cowards".

The frontman said he would have played at the Bataclan concert hall the day after 89 people were killed during an Eagles Of Death Metal gig in the French capital as a show of defiance.

The singer told ZDF Aspekte:"We were looking at the TV as it happened and they were filming it. You could still hear gunshots. It's so dumb. Those people are so dumb. What for? Do you think it's gonna be a heroic thing to kill innocent people? Assholes. Cowards.

"I would have gone on the day after. If they (the terrorists) stop you, then they win. And they're not going to beat me. I mean, I do what I'm supposed to do. If the police cancel the show for us, I can't do anything about that. But we didn't cancel it."

Everything they recorded from 1977-82 is great!
Checkout his stuff with Hawkwind also.

I believe Lemmy claims to be an anarchist, definitely anti-racist.

Of course KISS is the worst rocknroll band in history, or one of them.

Killing people in cold blood, and then killing yourself with a bomb makes you a lot of things, including, yes, an Asshole.

But I think that it takes Bravery. Cowards avoid conflict; they don't seek it.

And they are killing unsuspecting people who they don't give a chance to fight back.

Little children included many times.

Terrorists are cowards.

Filthy, sniveling, cowards.

"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" and "Stick around and take your medicine". I understand this line of reasoning - I remember it from being a kid.

Lots of Jihadis would say the same about the US killing them from the air from remote locations. "Come down here and face me like a man" (in fact, ISIL's entire strategy is to dare us to attack them on the ground, right?). Are drone operators cowards?

I'm saying that it actually takes courage to commit these acts - to overcome your fear of death to act in this way. Twisted, fanatical, suicidal, death-cult courage.

I asked how our enemy interprets that remoteness. And if they interpret is as Cowardice, I disagree.

Getting on top of a giant jet engine with bombs clamped to it and launching yourself off an aircraft carrier isn't Cowardice. Even Drone Operators exhibit courage - killing people isn't an easy task and takes a toll.

Stop reading everything as black or white. This shit is nuanced.

I would still never, ever mess with Lemmy for any reason.

And he is, of course, 100% correct.
