The line that a majority of Republicans will not cross...

For those that say the majority would never vote for Donald Trump or Ben Carson for President, I would say: "Don't bet on it". Democrats said the same thing about Ronald Reagan and George W Bush and we suffered for it. We are still suffering for it.

There are very few things that will prevent Republicans for voting for their Party choice. Drug use, AWOL from military, lying about stuff, hypocrisy....none of that bothers them in the least. It's all part of the game of politics to them.

But, there was an interesting race down in Louisiana a few days ago. The Democrat actually defeated the Republican for a Senate seat in the deep South. How was it different?

Republicans refused to come out in full force for their candidate because he was caught in a whorehouse wearing diapers. That is the line that some Republicans refuse to cross. Wearing diapers and having fun with a prostitute. Now, if we can just get more of these rascals to wear diapers and visit the local prostitutes, we may take back the House?

because they reelected the dirtbag to the Senate after that story came out. I don't know why they didn't vote for him for governor. Perhaps they thought the Senate should be good enough for anybody.

The one thing that will kill any Republican candidacy is being for gun control.

He's not from New Orleans (Mary Landrieu was the first exception to that rule in generations!), and he's the kind of Dem most of us here would call a DINO (as is Landrieu ).

...he's got a huge mess on his hands to fix and is going to have to do some unpopular things.

I suspect Jindal will go after the Senate since Vitter said he won't run for re-election.

All the conservative family/friend/acquaintances/co-workers that I suffer through will vote for whoever gets the GOP nomination; no matter who it is.

I expect and know that politics can be bitterly polarizing, but these people take partisanship to a level not seen by me hitherto.

Anecdotal evidence, to be sure, but I'll be astonished if I'm wrong.
