Nothing seems to escape it.

(1,893 posts)2. El Niņo behaving oddly, Southern Oscillation Index is showing neutral for last 30 day....
Not that the SST is not hot, but the atmospherics are off
SOI of -8 or lower is El Niño, above +8 La Niña
Look at the 30 day average and the daily here

(1,893 posts)4. I didn't say that, it is odd. SOI is measured a bit south of the equator; Darwin Australia and
Tahiti... It's odd. It may mean not quite the bad stuff for Australia and Peru.
