(182,829 posts)2 cats. 14 and 13 years old so they are going more. I am buying 48 pounds of litter for $20 about every 2-3 weeks.
My hybrid is getting ridiculous mileage. I had 5 gallons in the tank this week and the car was calculating that I had 307 miles left in the tank. I filled up on Saturday at $1.80 with grocery store credit. Initially it calculated 459 miles (that's with carrying the 6 pounds per gallon) on the way to work it re-calculated to 480. It's a 10 gallon tank.

(111,276 posts)When cats get it, fluid just goes right through them and they start getting really low on potassium.
My old cat HRH was rock stable with her kidney disease on blood pressure medication. I think the big "C" finally got her at the age of 21. She went downhill fast and I could feel lymph nodules here and there.

(269,054 posts)I was in Miami for a few days and it was $37 to fill my sister's Camry.
We feed the feral cats around here and they ensure that we don't even see rats and mice. We just buy the cat food as a better option than getting rid of a much worse situation.
I can imagine the cost of looking after aging cats.

(3,076 posts)Just how many turkeys are you buying?!?!?!
And you bought a generic turkey? As opposed to one of those high end turkeys with a remote control, bluetooth and a built in hard drive?

(3,370 posts)I am in a Philly suburb. Gas prices here have been stubborn lately, but have gone down about five cents per gallon in the last 3 days.
I filled up a few days ago from a quarter tank. I had grocery store points, bring it to under $2 per gallon. I thought the pump broke when it stopped filling after $18.00 . Not used to that. Thanks, Obama.
