This fucking moron veteran supports a fucking wad of phlegm who has never served a day in his life in uniform; who ran like a yellow bellied coward when the clarion call of duty was sounded; and whose five sons failed to volunteer for service during the last decade when the U.S. was at war.
This is the motherfucker he and others like him support?
Meanwhile here's a short list of the President's accomplishments:
1. Greenlighted the SEALs to kill Osama Fish Food.
2. Greenlighted the SEALS to kill the Somali pirates.
3. Expanded veterans' benefits so they could return to civilian life with dignity thus continuing their service to the nation.
4. Expanded programs to help wounded warriors returning from overseas.
And what does Lurch the Fucking StiffTM offer?
Crickets.
Choose wisely white, male, 55+ veterans or at least admit that the only reason you're voting for the shitstain is because you hate the fact that there's a black man in the White House. Just be honest with yourselves.

(37,573 posts)I don't know what will.
Maybe a fucking little more motherfucking profanity.
BTW, none of my father's five children ever volunteered for the military either. And neither have the first five grandchildren to reach adulthood.
Thank goodness Obama and Clinton are both Vietnam Vets.

(2,760 posts)Not enlisting into an all voluntary military is a whole lot different than avoiding the draft and then promoting the war for others to get killed.

(12,172 posts)...this should clear up the confusion:
"...this walking assclown of a fucking poser and his five service avoiding sons should be an anethema to every man and woman in uniform. When the clarion call for duty came, this motherfucking wad of phlegm turned yellow and fled to "mission work."
Although the President never served, he has the mind of a brilliant tactician as evidenced by his use of SOF to surgically strike and decapitate the heads of our enemies.
Lurch the Fucking StiffTM would use our military to fatten the wallets of his fucking buddies while buddy fucking our service members and veterans."

(301 posts)Mitt was protesting FOR the war in Viet Nam, actually he was protesting the anti-war demonstrators while he knew he would not have to go.
That is what proves what a POS he really is.

(14,994 posts)Perhaps, you should ponder the fact that this privileged doofus wants to continue to send our children in to be maimed/killed in war in order to support the fallacy of an indomitable nation/power... without any immediate impact upon his family.
Fuck him. And, fuck you for a totally absurd argument against the OP.

(5,954 posts)Vietnam on a college deferment during the 1992 and 1996 elections, and a ridiculous amount of time discussing who did or didn't duck Vietnam by using influence to get into the National Guard and then fucking off to the saloon during the 2004 election.
Obama was 13 when the Vietnam War ended, so he's off the hook. But I wonder how much time the MSM will take discussing Mittens ducking the draft by becoming a 'missionary,' and a Mormon missionary at that. If you duck the draft by being a Mormon missionary you have to either discuss ducking the draft, or your Mormon faith and exactly which parts of it you support, or both.
You have to discuss ONE or BOTH. However, I have a funny feeling that 'NEITHER' is the option the mainstream media will choose.

(1 post)the real issue with the mitt and veteran photo should be that condescending smile of the mittster's. it goes with the cookie question and the sick dog on the car, what is his freaking problem, and where are the spin doctors? seriously, after the palin debacle, you would think someone would do a better job of prepping candidates.
ass for all the people that complain about the foul language, really? democratic underground and you expect what? a republican tea? hell, don't twelve year olds deserve a voice in the governing process too?

(24,461 posts)That's what it's always been about, even if it means supporting chickenshit chickenhawks like Mitt 'n' Bewsh.
That stiff protested the Vietnam War, all right . . . protested in favor of it.
Hey, as long as he wasn't the one doing the fightin' and dyin' . . .

(6,045 posts)Romney will cut veteran's benefits just like the Cheney/Bush Administration along with the GOP controlled congress did in 2005 & 2006! Yet, more veterans & active service members will vote GOP!
One of the big problems is how the wealthy commanders speak about Obama & the Democrats as Communist sympathizers & weak on national defense...It takes a well informed usually higher educated soldier to know the facts & that their commanders are lying to them!
riverwalker
(8,694 posts)how far up and out in Romney's family tree must one climb before they can find anyone who fought for the US in any war, ever?
Nothing wrong with that in itself, however, it becomes wrong and downright bizarre if you are actively banging war drums, and as Willard did, protest against the protestors.
Aviation Pro, I am with you.

(894 posts)Totally Honest here.
The real reason they are voting Romney is because he is the (R) candidate.
It's not always a racist thing there. I don't think some voters can not vote the party line no matter if the candidate was white, black, blue, yellow, or green.
You want to criticize them for voting Romney? That's fine, but, it's not always about racism, and you do a disservice to the public by making the discourse a 1 topic issue.

(4,281 posts)There's zero proof he is supporting Romney because of race. Many old vets don't like Democrats, white or black. I also highly doubt that old man supports gays in the military either, so it comes as no surprise he's supporting Romney. I'd be more shocked seeing a vet his age supporting Obama or Clinton.

(5,061 posts)That fellow looks old enough to have served in WWII or Korea.
My grandfather was a lifelong Democrat, a white South Carolinian who died last year at the age of 91. Born in 1920, he joined the Army in 1938. Did his time, and was called up again when hostilities commenced. Served as a combat infantryman in Iceland, North Africa and Italy. At the end of that war, he got a post in Osaka, only to be called to serve in combat again when the Korea War started. Spent the rest of his career in the Army.
Plenty of those greatest generation types were (are) Democrats. My grandfather was old enough to remember the Hoovervilles, and loved the Army because it was the first time in his life he went to bed with enough food to eat. He voted for Obama, and would have done so again, had he not succumbed to the limitations of our mortal flesh. Those sons of bitches never fooled him.
I think a lot of younger vets are more solidly GOP than the few who remain of the older vets. The GOP has been catapulting the propaganda at them for 30 years.

(64,408 posts)Regardless of his/her opinion (which is what it is) I just won't do it. And I sure as hell won't embrace suggesting this particular veteran is a racist because he supports someone I'm not in favor of.
I'll end this with...fucking grow up.
Go ahead jury, do what you gotta.
