If you know someone who works for an abortion provider give them your love and support. Tell them you appreciate their work.
If you know a woman who has had an abortion, hug her just a little bit longer. Show her some love for her courage.
If you know someone considering abortion, let her know you support her and tell her the choice is her's alone. Accompany her to the clinic. Laugh, cry or just be silent if she needs space. Just be there for her.
Hard as it is, talk to the "pro-lifers" you know (family, friends, co-workers) and let them know that the pro-choice movement is made up of loving and caring people who care about women's health.
30% of United States women have an abortion before age 45, according to Planned Parenthood. They are are our family members, our friends, our sisters. Love them. Support them.

(2,760 posts)...druged and raped by a neighborhood hoodlum, year 1960. Abortion illegal at the time. Backwoods option that nearly killed me. Left me sterile, but I never regretted the decision. I just regret that legal abortion was not available to me then.
I've been there, done that and know that we will not go back!
