The top two panes are missing...only printed the bottom six.

(17,204 posts)... Doonesbury for years has used the first two panels as intros to the next six, because some papers omit the first two panels of Sunday toons for some reason. Many cartoonists have adopted the practice of making the first two panels as nonessential to the rest of that day's strip as a consequence. But I'm surprised the LA Times just did this today, you'd think it would have been editorial policy already. I guess it has to start some time.
