Why the Republican candidates for President are waiting to comment on shooting..

It is my belief that the Republican candidates are waiting to comment, (maybe today) because as a whole they are getting their advice on how to comment on something like this ...from the NRA. The NRA has to comment on shootings all the time, and their public relations people have a plan on exactly when and how to comment. I have watched them over time, and this fits the NRA pattern. Ted Cruz, made one comment, but there will be more from all of them, when it is best for them. (not for anyone else)...and the comments, I think will be very similar... We will see..

Timing is important, as the NRA has found out. At least that is what I believe. Usually 3 or 4 days is what I noticed. The Monday or Tuesday after the shooting, but it may be today, cause some of them may be on the Sunday talk shows. Who knows?..It is an opinion, but very odd that we have no definite comments out of them. (except Cruz who doesn't give a shit what anyone tells him)

They'll just fuel the stupidity, hatred, and create more of an atmosphere for terrorism.

If they respond at all, it will be half ass.. Not the same way if it were at a Christian church with a "foreign shooter of darker color"..Everything the same, same number killed and hurt, the police officer killed too. But at a Christian church..with the tag line, " I hate churches, especially Christian churches"...well we would see a totally different response from the media, and the Republican candidates. That would be so different that the coverage would never stop, because of the focus on a certain kind of religion, that the candidates believe in, their religion....

When a it was another religion in Wisconsin, there was a response by the media, of course, but not like it would have been if the shooting were at a Christian church. Saying something like that is awful, but I think it is true.

I think there's a lot of validity to what you stated, Stuart.

He was the first and (so far) only Republican candidate to make any such statement.
