Quiz: Guess the country.

It was a bad year for this country.
A national trauma had happened to them.
They were internationally despised.

But soon the true culprit was found.
The war had been lost because the people you had always suspected of being bad people had stabbed their country in the back.
They weren't patriots! They were traitors! They were different!
And even more than that! They were secretly part of a world-wide conspiracy with the specific goal to bring this great country down!

You know what you should do? Fight back.
Defend yourself with actual violence against the people you have always suspected of being bad people because how could they possibly NOT be bad people?
They are different!!!
They don't share your political and religious values!!!
Fight back!!!
Defend yourself!!!
Reclaim your country from their clutches!!!

But you won't read about that in the press. Nononononono.
The mainstream-media is in cahoots with them. They always lie. Never trust anything you hear from the mainstream-press!
You can only believe the people who think exactly like you!
And so the patriots soon co-opted a historic term for propaganda-use: "Lügenpresse" (the "press of lies&quot

A few years later, an economic crisis happened that struck that country really hard.
The government was flailing and tried to reduce damage to their best abilities.
But what was this parliament good for anyways? All they do all day is sitting around and talking! The political establishment has no idea what's going on!
You know what this country needs?
People in charge who are not politicians!
People in charge who don't bother with democracy or election-results or negotiations!
People who do what the people (well, the people that count) REALLY want!
And this minority of true patriots knows EXACTLY what the people REALLY want!

At this point, the biggest patriot of all arose from obscurity.
People loooooved to hear him speak.
He was man of greeeeeeeeat gestures.
And he promised to make this country great again!

And so, the patriots did their best to bring this burdensome, useless political establishment down.
They sabotaged the parliamentary process to their best abilities.
They brought the whole government to a standstill several times, even though they were only a minority-party.

The parliament was unprepared.
All parliamentary procedures had been crafted with the premise that rivaling political factions would solve conflicts in discussions and negotiations. Intentional sabotage of the political process by a sitting political party was something that nobody had anticipated.

To overcome the gridlock, the political establishment agreed to include the biggest patriot of all into government, confident they would still be able to control him even after legitimizing him and giving him actual political power.
