C'mon America! When is this going to stop??
God help us, we're getting the country we deserve. We can change that.

(11,093 posts)the building is about 300 yards from the State center for disabilities. I think they gave that for reference; I haven't heard that it was related to the center itself.

(11,093 posts)who, lord knows, always have people p.o.'d for child custody or whatever, but that would better explain a lone individual than apparently three well-prepped shooters.
But who knows. The basic facts will be out quicker than we can speculate our way to them.
(sigh)
Is it a government funded facility?
Did Trump or Cruz say something about the disabled recently?
Maybe it serves immigrants and people of color?
Or just because they can?

(1,098 posts)My uncle Billy Bob Jethro Ray Earl Duke was born without arms, legs, or a head, and raised by a family of wild hogs in Alabama. Despite all this, my uncle earned his MBA by the time he was 12 and started his own Fortune 500 company a year later.
So if good ol Billy Bob Jethro Ray Earl Duke could do this despite all his disabilities - him being born without a head could be really tough on him at times - then disabled people who'd rather receive government money than have the intestinal fortitude to pull themselves up by their boot straps are nothing but dirty welfare leeches.
..and yeah, that post was completely sarcastic, and though the shooting is no laughing matter, it's also not funny that there's no shortage of 'good ol Muricans' who have an irrational hatred of anyone receiving government money, even disabled people who are on Medicare or Medicaid or other programs.
