LONDON - London Zoo began taking bookings on Thursday for a new safari lodge it is building in the lion enclosure to allow visitors to get a taste of exotic holidays in the centre of the capital.
The "room with a zoo" is located in the Land of the Lions exhibit, which will be home to a breeding group of endangered Asiatic lions when it opens next year.
An overnight stay costs between 378 pounds (S$802) and 558 pounds for two people, including a drink and two-course dinner, breakfast, an overnight stay in a lodge and a tour before the zoo opens.
Emma Taylor, head of product development at the zoo, said in a statement on Thursday that it would be "a fantastic experience unlike any other, sleeping near to our magnificent Asiatic lions".
Visitors will stay at the Gir Lion Lodge, a collection of nine wooden cabins "within roaring distance" inside the enclosure and surrounded by protective fence.

OP
If you live in London you might as well go to the Serengeti and experience the real thing.

Never slept with him but wouldn't have worried in doing so. We played and rough housed a lot and had a love for each other that I have never experienced with any other animal.

I have been lucky to have had experience with a lot of different "exotic" animals and their "training." Actually, it's more developing a relationship than training.

Has anybody ever read Ray Bradbury's The Veldt? Then maybe you'll get my idea.
One wonders if anybody survives the overnight. Well, the zoo has to feed the lions somehow. This way they get to raise a little cash and the lions get a cheap meal on top of it.
Nom-Nom-Nom-Nom-Nom!
