How far are we from war in the streets??

If not for a few level-headed people, it could already be happening.

If we all submitted to the rhetoric and ideas of the Republican Party, we could be in a shooting war in the streets of our city as we speak.

By this time next year, I would venture that the rhetoric will be much more inflammatory and the right-wingers will be more threatening than ever, especially the gun owners. The Tea Party and the religious right will be even more shrill in their attacks upon the "godless liberals", especially Hillary, if she is the next president.

The Black Lives Matter movement is not going away. If nothing changes, they could be in the street with their demands. With Republicans in turmoil, we cannot realistically expect anything to change.

I hope I am wrong, but the only thing that might save us from a war in the streets would be another external war with another foreign enemy.

Happy days are not here again.

And BLM and Teabaggers who are posting pics and doing anything are probably 0.05% of the population-

Most everyone else are busy living their lives and literally zero fucks given.

What we're seeing now is the beginning. The election will affect how long it lasts and how severe it gets, but I believe it's already too late to prevent it from happening. I hope we elect some people who can address the problem effectively before it gets much worse.

The USDoD and various Law Enforcement Agencies are not going to allow any private citizen to own anything that would actually allow them to wage actual war against the government in any sustained fashion. All of these "I need guns to defend my liberty" wankers are engaged in, at-best, masturbatory fantasy. Their resistance isn't going to be Red Dawn, it's going to be more like fat, dumb morons getting iced before they even realize they're at war by professional soldiers with futuristic death-toys.

The danger would be that the police would defeat the rebels, but in the process would create a police state which would never be dismantled and would be even more a threat to our freedoms than the gun rights crowd. The police need to answer to the people or this crazy idea called democracy will never work.

They certainly could have done damage if they wanted to. The police gave them way more leeway than any group other group.

The protests on campus, the cities burning,
Kent State.

I don't think any of that can happen today.

We take out our rage on-line these days.

in Nevada, who threatened the BLM?
As far as I know nothing.

So it is obvious that this kind of upheaval
is not even controlled by the government.
