The media cares more about ratings and having the latest "breaking" news then being accurate.

Instead I pay attention to 'facts' that appear to be confirmed, and then apply those facts as filters to rule out various explanatory theories. In other words I do my own analysis. It ain't rocket science.

then they are told what to say so basically we never know if we ever get the real story on anything.
