"This is the Wingnut Nation he's been financing all this time. Did he think it was a joke?"

One of Florida’s biggest conservative Republican moneymen — and a billionaire backer of Jeb Bush — is so disgusted by Donald Trump’s candidacy that if he has to, he’ll do the unthinkable:

“If I have a choice — and you can put it in bold — if I have a choice between Trump and Hillary Clinton, I’m choosing Hillary,” Miami healthcare magnate Mike Fernandez told the Miami Herald on Friday. “She’s the lesser of two evils.”

Outraged by Trump’s unimpeded ascent, Fernandez is taking on the GOP frontrunner himself. He purchased a full-page ad in the upcoming Sunday edition of the Herald calling Trump a “narcissistic BULLYionaire with a hunger to be adored.” He also likened him to some of history’s bloodiest demagogues.

“You have no idea how furious I am with my friends in the Republican Party who have embraced this guy,” Fernandez said.

He's right, of course. It's the voters. I hate to tell him this, but that's the natural result of years and years of talk radio and Fox News. This is the Wingnut Nation he's been financing all this time. Did he think it was a joke?

I believe that the corporate media and the oligarchy want Hillary. The Repugs are crazy. Hillary is their ticket to more wealth.

But, we need change. Badly.

What better way to mollify a good portion of the masses and at the same time keep the money flowing to the top?

The Republican Party establishment must be fully aware that their candidates--every last one--are nuts, either naturally or by design, and have no chance in the GE. I doubt that those behind the money could give a rat's ass about what the SCOTUS will have to say in the inevitable revisit of Roe v. Wade, or Citizens United, for that matter.

Their only aim is the continued health of their coffers. Their secret weapon will ensure that.

LOL.

It affects both sides, our turn is coming. But before then, I'm going to enjoy the schadenfreude.

I know many otherwise smart people with stunning faith in some incredible lies. The IT universe is full of them, so is the Legal profession, just to name 2 cultures full of educated, smart and seemingly logical people.

It comes down to what you are taught to believe about people and the universe we inhabit. About which gods are wrong and which people are right with God.

As sung by Lieutenant Cable:

You've got to be taught
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade,
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You've got to be carefully taught!

There is always a point where Faust whines about how all the power he gained by selling his soul has not worked, and no it is time to pay up and be dragged off to hell. This is what you are hearing.

The GOP has knowingly played with fire, playing games with the violent language and the hate. Now, for all of trumps faults, they have run into someone that does not need their funding. Unlike their competition, us, there is no Debbie Wasserman Schultz to say "come on, ya know this was decided years ago, get in line and fake it!" So Trump will encourage the sort of ugly people that the Bushes normally keep locked up in the closet until November. The people who really really really want to fart and defecate out what they really feel. In some ways, this does nothing but help Clinton, as she really will not have to work very hard to make the GOP look crazy.

However, the problem with gloating about the misfortune of rivals is that the same flood can wash over you. EVEN IF TRUMP LOSES, there will be a group that will try to normalize things that would have marked them as freaks, double that if war breaks out. He may very well see a day where Bush is too far left. Heaven knows we have done a good job of moving the left right goalposts towards the right..the right will simplu want to go all the way past levels that would shock the Koch Brothers!
