"SCHENECTADY, N.Y. A 5-year-old New York girl who lost her family in a fire that was intentionally set has one wish this holiday season: Christmas cards from around the world.
In 2013, Safyre Terrys father and three younger siblings died in a fire caused by arson. Safyre was found in the debris next to her father, who used his body to shield her from the flames.
Safyre suffered severe burns, and in the months following the fatal blaze she lost her right hand and left foot.
She lives with her aunt, Liz Dodler, who has sole custody. Her aunt bought a tree to hang holiday cards on, and when the little girl saw the tree she said she couldnt wait to fill it up.
Dodler took to Facebook to post a photo of Safyre standing next to the tree in the hopes of getting enough cards to fill the display.

***Edit to add another child that only wants cards for Christmas to decorate his hospital room. Christmas is for the kids. Let's help make it happy for both of these children.
"INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 8, 2015) Most 8-year-old boys write Santa asking for video games and bicycles, but not Jack Weaver. His request is much simpler. Hes asking for a mailbox filled with Christmas cards.
Jack was born with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, a genetic disorder caused by a deletion of material within the fourth chromosome. This causes Jack to frequently have seizures as well as other medical issues.
Jacks mom Shannon Weaver says hes had a rough couple of months, and hes been very depressed. But Christmas is his favorite time of the year, and he wants to cover the walls of his room in Christmas cards.
"Christmas is probably the thing in the world that Jack loves the most. Hes always been so excited by every aspect of Christmas," Weaver said.
<snip>
Additionally, the Weavers say that any gift cards or toys sent to Jack will be donated to the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital (where they have spent many holidays in the past) and to deserving local military families. They say they have already collected $1,500 worth of books to donate to the hospital.
