what the heck is wrong with Iowa. Governor Branstad was on Bloomberg today, blaming all of the ISIS

problems along with Trumps popularity of on President Obama.

What a slimy snake. He used the example of how bush brought us together after 9/11, and President Obama has done just the opposite.

When I was younger I grew up in Iowa, and it was a different state, than based on how this jerk portrays it.

There is a reason Trump leads the republican party in the polls. Because the republican party is a racist, bigoted, xenophobic party, that is a reflection of what they are

As an aside, Branstad was pushing ethanol blends in our gasoline, and the Bloomberg automotive car expert didn't let his comments stand. He told him that ethanol blends are not good for the engines today, and can cause fuel pump and engines problems, along with stalling and other things. The governor countered saying his "Lexus" was a wonderful automobile that would last forever. They asked him why not an American car? The only justification he said was that Toyota makes cars in America, and gives American jobs also.

Republicans are just what they appear to be.

Granted it was a long time ago, and I was a kid and couldn't vote when Kennedy was running

just found your wording a bit confusing. Thanks for clarifying.
But I understand your feeling--I am up in WI---we were a blue state--for the most part. Now we have Gov Walker --one of the worst of the worst tea-baggers--and a legislature and SC controlled by Vile Repubs. We have stupid Sen. Ron Johnson--another bagger. I do not understand it anymore.

As for WI--I still canvassed a lot in 2014 but our county still went red --not by much but so disappointing.

GWB's presidency began on 9/12/2001 and ended mid-2008. Everything before that and after that doesn't count.

Obama ripped the country apart by winning the election while being black. He knew exactly what he did there.

Obama turned Iraq into a hell-hole of sectarianism and islamic terrorism on his first day in office. Before then, victory in Iraq was just around the corner and just one Friedmann-unit away.

Obama lost the Iraq-war by withdrawing from Iraq, in a traitorous plan that he had orchestrated years before he even entered office.

Obama created Donald Trump's racism and neo-fascism by being black and by tricking the GOP into whipping up GOP-voters with unrealistic and outlandish promises.

I have been gone from Iowa for a long time, but I remember when Kennedy was running for President in

Iowa, in general it was a pretty accepting state. If it is anything like this governor portrays, I wouldn't recognize it anymore

It is too easy. Uninformed people are easily scared and scared people are easily misled. Easy to sell them guns, xenophobia, racism, homophobia, religion and war.

The GOP are also masters of tapping into the vague and on-going anger of many Americans, and then directed it at the target of their choice. Tapping into anger lowers the bar because if one is angry one need not approve of a leader but merely agree with their choice of target(s).
