Impeach Scalia.

The House of Representatives is responsible to commence the impeachment proceedings. A member of the House can start the procedure by listing the charges against the official under oath or by asking for a referral to the appropriate committee of the House. In some cases, the impeachment process can begin by other officials outside of the Legislative Branch. However, the process to impeach will be carried out by the House of Representatives.

Yes I understand it will not be approved as the American Fascist Party is in control of the House. It would however bring the issue of Scalia's overt racism to a head, forcing the issue to be dealt with by the AFP, putting them on the record.

2017.
There's a very good possibility the House will become more balanced in Dem favor & a slight but possible chance we would eek out a House majority. Senate looks pretty good also.

DEMS have got to vote in Dems across the board if this were ever to become a reality. Impeaching Scalia would be a huge blow to the RW. I'd love to see it happen.
2016 is this critical.

3. Dems are 30% of the electorate.

We will not do it with just Democrats. We're going to need Democratic-leaning independents, who can not be motivated by "Republicans bad!", and are to the left of the median Democrat.

We need to keep that in mind as we attempt to make plans for 2016.

6. Nope. Take a look at the 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 election results.

2008, our message was "Hope and Change". Democratic-leaning independents turn out.

2010 and 2014, our message was "Republicans bad!". Democratic-leaning independents stay home.

2012, our message was "We still kinda have some hope". Democratic-leaning turnout down by quite a bit, but still enough for Obama to win. His popular vote margin was half that of 2008, which is not good for an incumbent.

If they could be motivated by "Republicans bad!", you wouldn't see that pattern....and they'd be Democrats instead of independents.

Alternatively, you could look at the massive wealth of polling on the subject.

the left stayed home esp in 2010 b/c gitmo wasn't closed, doma wasn't repealed. etc the left stay home to show the dems

2012 was a congressional election that included the presidency and that always brings out more of the left but then they go back to sleep for four years

regarding polling as we've seen here with all the polling being posted, the responses have mostly been about how polling is skewed. but im sure the ones you would post would be free of all that

So, you didn't pay attention to any of the campaigns then.

the left stayed home esp in 2010 b/c gitmo wasn't closed, doma wasn't repealed. etc the left stay home to show the dems

First, Doma was gone by 2014. Second, those evil leftists would "show the dems" far more by staying home in 2012. Only some of them did. Third, Gitmo is a low priority among those evil leftists.

2012 was a congressional election that included the presidency and that always brings out more of the left but then they go back to sleep for four years

Because they suddenly forgot that they wanted to "show the dems".

If you're going to rail against claims of "skewed polls", it's probably not a good idea to rail against skewed polls.
