my girlfriends daughter is on ACA. Today, he learned that her plan (blue cross blue shield) is dropping the PPO portion of her plan here in Texas.

She now has to shop around for another plan, but this is the issue: none of the other PPO plans in our area cover her primary care doc and two other docs. Her only option now is to go to an HMO, which doesn't cover her docs as "in network".

this, in a nut shell, totally screws her.

Yeah yeah, we can blame this and blame that on texas, (rightly deserved) but the reality is she doesn't essentially have health care now, she has a crap shoot.

this is not better, this is worse.

There is a lot of good with ACA but there is also a lot of bad.
