CEO of CBS News Caught Celebrating Trump’s Bigotry: He’s Making Us ‘Phenomenal’ Profits
At a recent investors’ presentation, CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves revealed his hand: Donald Trump’s bigotry is “phenomenal” for the company’s profits and ratings, and he hopes the Donald keeps escalating.
“Go Donald! Keep getting out there!” Moonves said at the UBS Bank-sponsored event.
The CBS chief went on to laud the ever-increasing flow of cash into political advertising campaigns as great for business, saying, “The more they spend, the better it is for us.”
“We’re looking forward to a very exciting political year in ’16,” Moonves said to investors. The Intercept noted that these remarks came before Trump’s call to ban all Muslims from the US, although Moonves still likely saw a boost in ratings from Trump’s outlandish proposals to register all US Muslims in a database and require practitioners of Islam to publicly identify their religious affiliation, along with Trump’s racist comments toward Mexican immigrants when he first announced his presidential campaign.

What a hypocrite and the use of the First Amendment to basically bastardized the information on what the "public needs and wants" to be informed on, and what the current lunatics are trying to do---------------------he is only worried about money and ratings.

Then CBS has this prestige standard of passing out the Edward R. Murrow Award for journalism-------------------if he was alive, I suspect he would say not to use his name to make money off it, I also suspect the Murrow was not in it for the money, but for the First Amendment, and then he (Moonves) is jumping up and down that he wants more bigotry from a businessman that should have everyone of his business interests boycotted, (and that Police organization in New England supporting a bigot) so that he can't fund his bigotry and fascism

In early 2009 after Hillary Clinton was sworn in as secretary of state, she met with the Swiss foreign minister in Geneva to discuss the impact of an Internal Revenue Service suit against UBS AG to get the identities of Americans with secret bank accounts, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The Swiss minister stated that if the IRS case proceeded, Switzerland’s largest bank could face prosecution on both sides of the Atlantic either by violating Swiss bank secrecy laws by giving the names to US tax authorities, or refusing and facing criminal charges in US federal court.
A few months after the meeting, Clinton had hammered out a tentative settlement; these types of negotiations are not usually handled by the State Department, the Journal said.
As part of the deal, UBS gave up information on 4,450 accounts, or roughly 8.5 percent of the accounts sought by the IRS.
The agreement had some lawmakers criticizing the paltry number of tax violators and looking for a more extensive crackdown.
After the Swiss accord, UBS’s contributions to the Clinton family’s charitable organization increased, according to data compiled by the Journal.
