Well finally I'm fed up with unwarranted service charges by my bank(Wells Fargo) and will be switching to a credit union which is truly a customer friendly banking source...

makes it easier. As far as whether it's good or not depends on what you need. I like free travelers and cashier's checks.

...My first mortgage got acquired by BofA, and my HELOC is at Wells.

Because BofA has screwed up my credit scores by filing false derogatory credit reports (which I am fighting actively,) refinancing is not an option.

Bank of America has thousands of attorneys on staff. The playing field isn't exactly level.

I'm working it out by aggressively pursuing disputes with TransUnion and Equifax. Experian dropped it several months ago without explanation, and I haven't bothered them about it.

I have also filed formal complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the California Attorney General.

I'll win eventually. All I want is my reputation restored.

Nothing makes a corporation move more quickly than scrutiny by a policymaker in your district looking on your behalf.

http://moveyourmoneyproject.org/

---The Move Your Money project is a nonprofit campaign that encourages individuals and institutions to divest from the nation's largest Wall Street banks and move to local financial institutions. Little has changed to prevent another financial crisis or to end 'Too Big To Fail,' and with Congress unwilling to act, we are encouraging individuals to take power into their own hands by voting with their dollars and no longer contributing to a financial system that has led our country astray. We are a campaign that gives people real, concrete actions they can take to create a more sane, stable and localized banking system.---
